Swami Vivekananda Research Centre Inaugurated in Bali; Ganesha Group Dedicates Classroom in Honour of Nikhil Vasudev Chandwani

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of noted Indian author, entrepreneur, and public intellectual Nikhil Vasudev Chandwani, who was invited as the special guest for the occasion. In recognition of his work in promoting Sanatan Dharma, spiritual education, and youth empowerment through his writing and humanitarian efforts, a classroom within the Research Centre has been formally named the “Nikhil Vasudev Chandwani Hall.”The Centre, envisioned as a platform for academic inquiry into Indian philosophical traditions and their relevance in the contemporary world, was introduced under the leadership of Dr. Gus Arya Adnyana, Chairman of the project. He noted that the Centre aims to become a long-standing academic and spiritual bridge between India and Indonesia, rooted in shared dharmic values.

Speaking at the event, Nikhil Chandwani remarked:
“Swami Vivekananda’s vision of education extended far beyond textbooks. He believed in the development of character, the awakening of inner strength, and the pursuit of universal truth. In today’s fragmented world, his ideas remain deeply relevant—not only for individual transformation but for global harmony.”

He further expressed appreciation for Bali’s enduring commitment to dharma and cultural preservation, stating that the establishment of a research centre under Vivekananda’s name in such a spiritually rich region reflects a shared legacy that transcends geography.

The Swami Vivekananda Research Centre will focus on interdisciplinary research in dharmic studies, spiritual leadership, education reform, and Indic knowledge systems. It will also serve as a hub for visiting scholars, student exchange programmes, and lectures on Vedic philosophy, ethics, and culture.

The inauguration ceremony included traditional Balinese rituals, classical performances, and a keynote lecture by Chandwani titled “Spiritual Leadership in the Age of Disruption.” The event was attended by scholars, educators, students, and members of the local community, all of whom underscored the importance of Indo-Balinese cooperation in preserving and promoting dharmic knowledge. The Swami Vivekananda Research Centre, under the Ganesha Group, aspires to become a leading institution for the study of spiritual philosophy and applied ethics, reaffirming Bali’s role as a centre of learning and a custodian of ancient wisdom.
